About the Artist

Devon Valentin-Dixon is a Bronx-born artist working primarily in paint, with a practice that also includes photography, printmaking, and mixed media. Her work often blends techniques and materials to create bold, expressive pieces rooted in observation, memory, and everyday life in New York City.

Drawing inspiration from pop culture, travel, and the rhythms of her surroundings, Valentin-Dixon’s work reflects an ongoing interest in place—particularly the Bronx spaces that have shaped her. In 2025, she was featured in The Riverdale Press for a body of work honoring these local landmarks.

She has exhibited at AM:PM Gallery, YoMA, Gallery18, Yonkers Arts, the Bronx Social Center, and Lehman College in support of the Robin Hood Organization.

Alongside her studio practice, Valentin-Dixon is a former art teacher at a local community center and continues to lead paint nights for both children and adults, keeping her work closely tied to process and community.
